SCAFFOLDING FOR CIVIL USE
Church and Steeple Scaffolding
Scaffolding for the conservative restoration and renovation of churches, cathedrals, cupolas, domes and sanctuaries requires greater attention to detail, as it must preserve the integrity of the facades, side aisles and internal floors.
There are two types of scaffolding used for the restoration and renovation of churches and steeples:
- multidirectional scaffolding and whose main elements are precisely the uprights transoms, as well as the beams, is characterized by the “node,” that is, the system of connecting the various elements (uprights, transoms, beams, diagonal, etc.) to each other. It is quite similar to the tube and coupler scaffolding, as it allows to create the knot every 50 centimeters in height, while horizontally the assembly possibilities depend on the type of knot.
This type of scaffolding combines: flexibility of adaptation (typical of tube and coupler scaffolding, however, it is less easy to assemble/disassemble) and speed and ease of assembly/disassembly (typical of prefabricated frame scaffolding which, on the other hand, has less flexibility of adaptation to the site). - The prefabricated frame fixed scaffolding (consisting of frames, beams, diagonal braces, shelves, etc.) can be used in almost all construction sites, with the advantage of being able to be assembled, disassembled or transformed very quickly and easily compared to the tube and coupler scaffolding, thanks to the extreme manageability of the elements that compose it and the simplicity of the connections.
This scaffolding is the quickest and easiest to assemble, which makes it the structure most used by construction companies in case the building does not require special means to reach the working height. The installation and assembly consists of joining metal frames of standard height and depth (prefabricated) to which the platforms and parapets are attached.
The prefabricated frames fixed scaffolding can be with sockets, pins, sockets and pins or in any case with elements similar to them, that is, according to the system of union of the beams and diagonals that are coupled on these elements of the frame, it is represented according to different types.
